Fight The Pain

This Past Saturday we played St. Francis on their turf. Just so happens we won Yahooooooooo
It must of Been Trev's Lucky Underwear ( Ya he has some magic Undies) Anyway we will let him think that they are real special as long as he wants.
The game started out one for us then one for them. Everyone on our side was like Uhhhhhhhhh let's get ahead. So plays continued one at a time. Right away I saw Trev limping. I was waiting for the coach, (ya know his DAD) to pull him. It was a very noticable limp with lots of histation. He kept playing though. Play by play it got worse and worse, I was starting to get a bit worried and also a bit ticked off at DAD. Pete has always instilled SUCK IT UP! TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM! IF THERE IS NO BLOOD PLAY ON! I could go on and on with the nonsense. So it was a play or two before time was up and Trev finally could stand no more. He bearly got off the field and fell to the ground in Pain. I could tell he was upset and hurting. I didn't run down only because pete was there and of course would not want to embarass him for nothing serious. The med came over, took the sock off and put some ice. At the end of the game I went to him cause Pete has to do the whole AT A BOY with the group and other coaches. He was still in pain and you could see that he was extremely upset that he didn't finish the game out. later after laying into the hubby, I found out that he had asked Trev if he wanted to come out. Trev said he didn't want to and insisted on staying in no matter the pain. He is the starter so there really isn't anyone who can do it as he does. ( That means he is good at it) TOOT TOOT.
So a ride to the car after trying to depart and he was on crutches the rest of the day with on & off ice. it seemed to get better as time went on and towards the end of the night he was able to put more pressure on it. The next day he laid low and we have made an appt for the orthopedic doc. In the meanwhile we have bought some nice inserts for the cleats. He had practice today and said that they felt good. We shall keep you updated with any important info
